Colin Lambert Obituary
1948-2013
Colin, 65, died suddenly on May 31, after enjoying a bike ride with a friend at the beach. A caring and capable dentist, Colin was educated at the University of Sydney in Australia and completed a residency in anesthesiology at Harbor General-UCLA. After teaching at UCLA, he ran a private practice in Torrance for 33 years. To his wife, daughter and two sons, Colin was a devoted and fun-loving family man. For fellow members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, he was also family. He served with them to the glory of God, as deacon, elder, choir member, teacher, and in countless ways, always proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ. Colin is survived by his wife Gwenet, daughter Jeannie, sons David and Robert #8212; as well as father Gordon Lambert and brother Ian, who reside in Sydney. He is predeceased by his mother Maxine. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 706 Knob Hill Avenue in Redondo Beach. Lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Redondo Beach, Memo: Colin Lambert Memorial, which will go to Pacific Lutheran High School's education ministry where Colin served as an active board member. Dear Gwen, Jeannie, David and Robert:
I am so sorry to hear about Colin's death. He was a kind and decent man and a loving and devoted husband and father. He was very kind to me over the years and he even called me when I was in the hospital recovering from my cancer surgery. I hope that you deep faith helps comfort you during this difficult time. May God's love and grace comfort you.
