"Mere words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Hopefully, the knowledge that Devin's spirit and courage inspired so many in San Pedro and beyond will bring you comfort." Johnetta Gatlin-Brown (Dayton, Ohio)

There are no words to take away your pain or ease your sorrow, but your memories and love will keep Devin in your hearts forever. Time does not eradicate the loss you feel, it allows you the ability to learn to live with it. Your faith in Our Lord will give you the means to accomplish that. There is no right or wrong way to grieve the loss of someone we love. Just put it into Our Father's hands and He will show you the way.
I believe the Lord used Devin as a tool to bring people together, for strangers to unite, to drop to their knees and pray, to Him. I believe a miracle was performed, and that Devin achieved something that great people have tried and have not quite succeeded. However, this wonderful beautiful child of yours did.... she brought people together, through her illness, through her pain and her suffering, she brought them to Our Lord, and they prayed to God, in the heavens, some perhaps for the first in years!
Devin was a miracle and should be remembered as such. Your precious daughter touched the hearts of so many and she has left an imprint that will never go away, so in the midst of your tears, be proud that in her short lifetime, she has accomplished more, than what some do in ten times that amount of time!
My granddaughter Sophia Adelsperger, was a classmate of Devin's. She is so sad to have lost her friend. That is how I came to learn of Devin. I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with Betsy, Devin's godmother. So many people have been touched, in some way, large and small by this little angel, who now rests with Our Lord and Master in the light and the glory of the Heavens. My thoughts and my prayers are always with you, and your other children, your families and your friends.
In prayer~

Devon and Lori,
My family and I heard about the loss of your little girl and were so sad upon hearing the news. We too unfortunately know of this unbearable pain and search for answers why. We lost our baby boy Christian on 12/31/09. I hope and pray that in time our families will find peace and understanding during our long journey ahead. We were at Green Hills this afternoon visiting our baby boy and had the wonderful opportunity to view your daughter as she was carried in her beautiful princess carriage. It was truly amazingly breathtaking and brought me to tears. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
With love,
Kathy Gonzalez

Dear Mr and Mrs Hamilton,
I was so sad when I heard about Devin passing away. We were in Spanish class together at Crestwood, for a short time. Devin was a really good friend and a nice person. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Devin will never be forgotten.

Pam & Devon, Words cannot explain how we felt when we heard about Devin. Our heart aches for your family because we know how it feels to lose someone you love so very much. Our Dear Lord knew you did not want Devin to suffer anymore so he took her pain away. Now she is praise dancing in heaven. Remember her beautiful memories. She will always be with you, family & friends as your "Guardian Angel". Her memories will live on forever. She was one beautiful little lady!!!
We love you Pam! When you hurt we hurt. Remember we are there for you. Devon & Lori we will pray that Our Dear Lord will give you strength. We love you too!
Love,

Manuel my son played sports with you at Peck park many years ago. He too just lost a baby boy 6 months old on Dec 31, 2009. We share in you grief and sorrow. You will be in our prayers. Devin is now in heaven with Baby Christian. We miss them, we love them and we cry for them.
May God watch over all of us
