Jessie Peters Obituary
July 29, 1981-March 29, 1996
Absent from us, present with Christ Jesus. Our beloved Jessie was abducted from her home in Glendora, California on March 28, 1996, never to be seen on this earth again. While she was with us she was the light of our lives and a precious member of our family. We miss her very much. Jessie was born in Torrance, California. She attended schools in Torrance, Poughkeepsie, New York, Hermosa Valley Middle School in Hermosa Beach, California, Sandbury Middle School in Glendora and Glendora High School. Her beloved grandfather, Charles Milton Simpson of Scottsdale, Arizona, who passed away 10/21/02, now rests in Heaven with her. Family survivors are her mother, Cheryle Peters; brother, Robert (Jennifer); & niece, Amber Peters; grandmother, Claire Arvanetes; aunts, Charylene (Phil) McCain, Christine (Richard) Holt, Candance (Jorge) Garcia & Dawn (Craig) Fitzgerald; cousins, Ronni (Sarah), Nick, Marc & Michelle Younkin, Jason Simpson & Micah McCain; and many other family and friends. A special thank you to all of those who helped and supported our family, especially Prosecutor Michael Rushton, Investigator Larry Langsford, Randal Tagami, advocate Amy McKenzie, loyal friend and helper, Cynthia Rollins and The People of Riverside, California. A scholarship is being created in Jessie's name with donations in care of C. McCain, PO Box 980, Hermosa Beach, CA. 90254-0980. Happy belated birthday my bestie u were always so bubbly I have never forgotten u or our memories of ditching church to go eat to the Mexican restaurant next to the dairy. Or the times we would go to Andrea house on the bus and do makeovers. I miss u so much my friend.

i know this is alittle late, please accept my deepest sympathy. i was good friends with jessie at covina assembly of god. i remember when i got a call from another friend telling me jessie had gone missing, my heart sank. then when i had heard her story on tv, it broke for her family. but now there was some closure i hoped for them. she was an awesome person, a bright light that i loved to be around. i really do hope u all as her family find some comfort. rest in peace miss jessie.
