With sincere sympathy for your loss. I remember Juan from Jr. High and High School (Carnegie and Carson High). Great personality and from what I've read, an even greater human being. I'm sure his family and friends will miss him terribly; but you'll always remember the love and joy you shared with him with a smile. He'll always be your angel.

We recently heard of Juan's passing from the Greene family in the cul-de-sac. My family grew up on 221st Street and enjoyed the numerous kids in the neighborhood (great times), each sibling going to Bonita, Carngie, and Carson High School with various members of the Ojeda family. Please accept our condolences on the loss of your loved one and may your wonderful memories bring smiles to your faces and hearts in this difficult time. Sincerely, the Jacobsen family (Cindy, Denise, Robyn, and Marty).

July 25, 2006

Monica and family,

I still can't grasp that Juanito has passed on and I will not have the pleasure and love of being by his side. I will remember him as my co-captain, first roommate, LA City firefighter, great husband and father to all of you, and my friend and brother. He was all these things in that strong, compact body of a good man that I know and remember. To me I will always see him as that fierce competitor who would always accept the challenge and rise above. His humor and life loving nature are what connects me with his spirit. These things will always bind me to him and you. Your family will be in my heart as his name and legacy to live on through you. I can see his big smile, hear his laugh, and feel his strong hug. These I return to you and the kids and rest of the family. I will always remember my brother and friend...Johnny Ojeda.

Ernie and the rest of the Ojeda Family,

We will always remember "Nito". Though he was older than me, I remember him when he would come to the Miller House to see my brother Dave. George Hood remembers him better than I do, and he always has a smile on his face when we talk about the good old days in the neighborhood and the Ojedas. Nito will be missed, but still in our hearts. God Bless You all.

I will always remember this and bring it up to my wife every time we go to the Del Amo Mall. A couple guys older than me let me follow them to the Del Amo Mall and my sting ray got a flat tire and Juan carried it all the way home while riding his bike back to Carson. Thats what kind of a guy he was. Although I haven't seen him since the good old days, I think of him often and will never forget how kind he was.

My condolences to Juan and his family.
