Michael Wallin Obituary
Mike Wallin was born on June 3, 1960, and on November 12, 2014, after a brave, eight-month-long struggle against illness, God called him home. Mike is survived by his brother, Ken Wallin; sister-in-law, Cathy; and niece, Stephanie; and grand-nephews, David and Michael. He was preceded in death by his mom, Betty Ankenbrandt; dad, Fred Wallin; and nephew, David Wallin. Mike worked in the construction field and was a skilled carpenter and woodworker who liked building things, fixing things and working with his hands. He also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Mike had a big, loving heart and was always willing to lend a hand wherever help was needed and we will miss him greatly. Burial will be private. Mike, Mike, Mike. What can I say? All through high school you were my boyfriend, as well as everyone elses, haha. But seriously, I'm so sorry to learn of your passing. We stayed in touch all the way up to your mom passing away. You're a Free Bird finally. Peace be with you, I'll always love you. Hope you've been happy and light, and most of all, pain free these past 9 years.

I have many fond memories of Mike going back to 1968 as teammates in Riviera Little League, schoolmates at Newton School and friends at El Retiro Park. He was entertaining, respectful and pleasure to be with. Condolences to his family and friends, we will miss him.

Uncle Mike was a great man. My son David loves him dearly. He had a hard battle but never gave up. We will miss him greatly. But as Little David said, My Daddy has one of his favorite uncles with him in heaven now, and I know the first thing they did was go fishing and catch lots of fish!
