Neil Harper Obituary

Neil passed away on October 15, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born on July 21, 1955 in San Francisco, CA and graduated from Lennox High School in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret; his sons, Brian (29) and Eric (27); his brother, Warren (Carmen) of Panorama City, CA; and his sisters, Terri Still of San Francisco, CA and Shirley Hermies of Quincy, Ca. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trisha, in 2007. The things Neil loved the most in life were his family, his pets, and sportfishing. He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed the 12 years he spent working at San Pedro Medical Center as the engineer. He considered everyone there an extension of his family. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Green Onion Restaurant at 145 W. 6th St in San Pedro at 12 noon. A private burial at sea will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pedro Pet Pals at PedroPet Pals.com (please put Neil's name on the memo line).. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

Reading this makes me cry. I miss "dad" very much and I will never forget him. He was like a father to me. He is the reason why my little girl is here today and I am so greatful for that. Brian, Eric and Mom...you guys are in my prayers and will continue to be in them. I love you all.
