It was a privilege to have known Phil Simon.
I met Phil when he worked at Torrance Adult School: took his Wills and Trusts class and afterwards he took care of our estate planning needs and those of relatives and friends. His knowledge of estate law was impressive.
Phil was a very honest, kind and friendly man. There was always a sparkle in his eyes. He will be missed.

How we all looked forward to our weeks on Balboa Island with the "Navy Bunch". Taking out the sail boats with Phil in charge was more then an exciting adventure. Always wondering if we would make it back All of the stories I grew up with of life aboard the USS Case. The deep friendships of the Sandifords, Browns , Simons and then the Fischers. Phil, you were such a dear friend to my Dad and my family. I will cherish the memories always

what an unbelievable life. The Simon Household was a gathering place for all of us going through PVHS in the late 60's. It was due to Phil and Ginny's warmth, kindness, generosity and for accepting all of us as we were. literally growing up with Susan, Nancy, Craig and Kathy was absolutely the best. The friendships that have continued through the years have been awesome.
My thoughts and prayers to all of you

I first met Phil while I was a trust officer with Union Bank in Los Angeles. I was administering an estate in which Phil was the attorney. After that estate was completed, I worked on at least one other estate and several trust matters. Phil was very professional and easy to talk to and had a great sense of humor, which I really enjoyed. I was living in the South Bay and saw Phil many times in restaurants, coffee shops etc. Always friendly. A wonderful person. I introduced him to Peggy, who was to be my wife, at the beer garden after a Superbowl Sunday 10K. He then introduced Peggy to Tim Good, who was also there, telling Tim that this was a "real accountant" (she is a CPA). Tim was impressed and later hired her and she was his partner for over 10 years. She will write her own remembrance, as she has several Phil stories to share. We'll all miss Phil and the family can be proud of his life.
