Adam Schneider Obituary

On December 29, 2018, Adam Kenneth Schneider, loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at the age of 65. Adam was born on August 4, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. He received degrees in forestry from Paul Smith College and in aerospace from Metropolitan State College. Adam had a career as an airline pilot until his children were born, then decided to work as a contractor/builder to be able to spend more time with his family. After his children grew up and moved away, he became a facility manager at Frasier Meadows, a position he enjoyed for many years. He died as he lived, a humble man of simplicity and frugality who could find contentment with little. Generosity sustained his sense of ethics. He constantly sought to uplift and support others in whatever way he could. His strong morals and deep sense of spirituality made him seek only to be a good man. He looked towards death, not with fear as an end, but as a transition and release into something new. No one could ask for a better friend, father or brother. Adam was preceded in death by his mother and father Ruth and Fred Schneider, and survived by his children Alexandra and Armand Schneider, his grandson Edwin Garcia III, his brother Fred and his sister Edith. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 13th at 10:00am at Frasier Meadows.

My children and I have wonderful memories of Adam, always helpful, always a smile on his face, never a disparaging word. My children loved going to visit his family when they lived near us - visiting Adam's workshop was a big hit. For me, he has not left, just his form. His smile, kindness and demeanor will be with me always.
Blessed to have had him cross our paths......

I have such fond memories of Adam from the time his children were Kindergarteners at Flatirons Elementary. He always had a beautiful smile and demeanor and helped me , as their teacher, with beautiful wood working projects for our outdoor garden. May his soul be at peace.
