Glenn Rowley Obituary

Glenn E. Rowley, 70, of Niwot, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12th. Born in Denver to Delbert and Pearl Rowley, he was raised in Westminster with his siblings, Randy, Carol (Glasmann) and Nancy. After college he married his high school sweetheart, Jerelynne Hill. They moved to Boulder, started a family, and Glenn began working at Boulder Denver Truckline. He started out as a driver, but eventually worked his way up to management, and ultimately was one of the owners. For most of his life he was involved in trucking businesses and organizations, including serving as the President of the Colorado Motor Carriers Association. Active in the Boulder community, he served on many boards and committees, including the Chamber of Commerce, Red Cross, and Special Transit. He was a small business owner, running multiple companies during his lifetime, but he still managed to retire by age 50. In his retirement, he oversaw his family's business, still managed by his three children, Syalynne, Todd and Greg, as well as his son-in-law, Jock Kramer and daughter-in-law, Jackie (Price). His ultimate happiness came from his family: his grandchildren, Remington, Peyton, Colston, and Charlotte; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Katharine, Erick, BreeAnne, Marisa, Devin, Hailey, Kaitlynn, and Desiray. Plus his extended family: Janice (Hill) Spratte, Kitty (Headlee), Raymond Glasmann, Wayne Buttedahl and Amie (Falk) Spratte. While his cancer diagnosis was only one month ago, he was given time to visit with family and friends. While having discussions of a funeral he joked that he would hate to miss a good party, so in lieu of a memorial, the family had a celebration of his life, with him and many close friends.

Glenn was a wonderful and committed board member of Via Mobility Services (formerly Special Transit) and continued as a donor long after he served on our board. We enjoyed his sense of humor, his business acumen and his community service. Prayers to all. Mary Cobb, Director of Communications, Via

Jeri, Lynne, Greg, Todd, Randy, Nancy and Carol & family I think he was the bravest person that I have ever known. When the Lord calls our loved ones home He gives us a gift of memories in exchange. Memories of love and friendship are treasures to carry with you always. Thank you Lord for putting your arms around Glen and helping him with his journey. What a great family he left behind to pass on those memories. I love you all
