Robert VanZant Obituary

Bob VanZant passed away at his home in Ft. Myers FL after a valiant battle against brain cancer. He was 66. Bob (aka "Zant") was a resident of Boulder for more than 40 years, and leaves behind many lifelong friends, dedicated co-workers and golfing buddies. Bob had an illustrious career in the computer industry. He was one of the original employees of Boulder's pioneering start-up NBI. He went on to become CEO of Computer System Dynamics, which was acquired in 1997. Bob continued to consult and invest in the tech industry. Always a restless intellect, Bob became a Certified Financial Planner in his late 50s. Bob loved golf, skiing, hiking and was a devoted Denver Bronco fan. He is survived by his mother, sister, and wife of 32 years, Kathleen. He will be missed by all for his brilliance, sharp wit, hearty laugh and willingness to just have fun. A Mass in celebration of Bob's life will be held January 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Mary Parrish, 6739 South Boulder Rd. A reception will follow.
