Andrew Balash Obituary

Andrew “Mike” Balash, 72, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died, Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Daniel & Ella Eigo Garrity. Mike enjoyed sitting on his porch with his dog Murph and taking trips to East Kingston to visit his family. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan. Mike is survived by his aunt, Margaret “Peggy” Alecca of East Kingston and many cousins and great cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s cemetery. I didn´t know Mr. Balash but would see him walking his dog along Linderman ave for many years and we always waved to one another I´ll miss his waves may he Rest In Peace.

As a life long neighbor of my family I will miss seeing Mike out with his dog, our waves, and occasional chats. Time flies... He will be with Ella again...
