Andrew J. Hamilton, Sr. PORT EWEN - Andrew J. Hamilton, Sr., 62, of Hudson View Terrace, Port Ewen, died Friday, Oct. 17th, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus following a battle with esophageal cancer. He was born in Kingston on May 17, 1952, a son of the late Amos Jacob and Catherine Beverley (Jordan) Hamilton. Andrew was employed as an oil burner service technician for over 35 years for various oil companies in the Kingston area. He enjoyed playing poker and was an avid guitar player, especially Fender guitars. He is survived by his loving children: Amy Marie, Emily Paige (Daniel Knoth), Katelyn Suzann, and Geneen Hamilton, all of Kingston, Andrew J., Jr of Ulster Park, and Daniel Lee Hamilton, and his wife Aimee, of N.C. He is also survived by loving girlfriend Dianne Decker of Saugerties, one brother Paul J. Hamilton, and his wife Gloria, of Rosendale, a niece, Jennifer Doggett of Saugerties, and six grandchildren. He is predeceased by one brother, Peter Jordan Hamilton. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park.
