I´m about to plug in my new IMac and Dave would be the first to christen it were he here with us.
So I will dedicate its use to my unforgotten friend and his too soon, demise.

Thinking of you at this difficult time, though words cannot express the thoughts the heart would like to say...Still, may you know that others care and sympathize today.
My dad is still living with me and at the age of 87 and has a lot of Health issues but doing OK , we still have all of the paintings that you have done for my mom and dad back into days . I thought it would be nice that you know that . My dad and I think often of you when we see those pictures. The VanDeBOGART 's

David was a good friend and passionate photographer. His sudden and unexpected death truly breaks my heart ... I can hardly stand to think about what is lost! I'll remember him forever with great affection and gratitude that he was my friend.

Just found out about David's death and am in shock. Feel so grateful that I was able to visit with him at our Onteora reunion in October, after many years of not seeing him. I first knew David when we were in 2nd grade together, and he was my classmate into high school. Haven't lived in Woodstock for many years now, but was often in touch with him when I came back for visits. Such a loss.
I've always admired David for the impeccable artist that he always was. I remember marveling at his earlier carpentry work, and most recently at his photography, and in between I'd be in awe at other creations that he'd show me. Such a talent!
Condolences to all who loved him.
I'll miss you, Dave! Keep creating, wherever you are! Until we meet again...

One of the kindest and most generous men I've ever known, always there to advise and help, and to share his enthusiasm for life. I'll be missing him badly. I'm still in shock, as I had a conversation with him shortly before he took that last walk....

It is had to say goodbye to my dear friend, David.
Doesn't seem right that he left us so soon.
He was a true Renaissance man, interested and knowledgeable on many subjects and always ready to help a friend.
He will be missed.
