Frank Simpson Obituary

Frank H. Simpson, Jr. KINGSTON- Frank H. Simpson, Jr., 70, of Kingston died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. Born Dec. 16, 1947 in Kingston; he was the son of the late Frank H. Sr. and Julia (Guido) Simpson. Frank attended the New York Military Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. A local entrepreneur, Frank had the vision for Rondout revitalization and had the first downtown “Speakeasy”. He had an extended career in real estate. Surviving is his companion of ten years, Debbie Chick; his son, Frank H. Simpson, III, and his wife Rebecca; his grandchildren, Cali, Finnian, and Eavan Simpson; his sister, Patricia Boyle and her husband James and their children, James F. Boyle and Sara Jane Schneller; great-nieces and nephews; and his aunts, Margaret Guido Bruck and Anna Guido McCloskey. Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh.com Memorial visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Military Honors provided by the U.S. Navy at 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to any veteran cause of your choice.

I was shocked to learn of the passing of Frank. As children we were quite close but as timed passed we drifted apart. I will always remember the good times out at the creek running up and down in the aluminum row boat with a motor. Rest in Peace.
