Gertrude F. Houst, WOODSTOCK-Gertrude F. Houst, 95, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Kingston Hospital. Born June 3, 1921 in Bayonne, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Francis L. and Ellen O’Connell Drissel and had resided in Woodstock most of her life. Mrs. Houst was a bookkeeper during her working career. She worked at H. Houst & Son Hardware in Woodstock, Marcrest Lamp Co., in Woodstock and the Onteora Central School business office, until she retired. After her retirement she worked at Woodstock Building Supply. She had operated a pet supply store from her residence in her earlier years. Surviving are her son Robert M. Houst and his wife Roberta of Zena, a grandson Robert C. Houst of Berlin, Germany, a granddaughter, Jennifer Mackey and her husband Russell of Saugerties and a great-grandson William Phillips of Saugerties. Friends will be received Monday 7 to 9 p.m. at Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock. The funeral service will be 11a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Rosendale. Contributions to Woodstock Fire Co. #5, Woodstock Rescue Squad, P.O.
