'Grandma Reer', my mother in law for some 26 years brings back so many memories: Nobody could fry a steak in an iron frying pan as could she! Blackened, perfectly rare, Pop would not allow anyone else to perform this very special job. When I met her, she possessed an ability to sell, the envy of anyone in the field of sales. For people who remember, Montgomery Wards in downtown Kingston employed her in their dress department. I think she outsold all the rest of the sales staff, combined (in those days they were called, "sales girls". Always cheerful, I remember her complaining privately about people who would take garments home to try on, only to return them the next day after wearing to a party...nonetheless, maintained her cheerful self! I loved my mother in law, very much. The only woman with that title in my life, I cherished her and learned much from her about human nature. She possessed a greatness, in her own right always balancing humility and assertiveness gracefully as appropriate. Rest in Peace, dear, dear lady! OOOO Sue
