Dear Holt Family - Whenever I look back on the wonderful memories and friends made in high school, Jake will always be the "brother" I had during those years. We were so close, but as it tends to happen, graduation occurred and we drifted apart. But I never forgot, nor ever will the countless great times we had together, the late night phone calls discussing life and all its ups and downs, and how I and everyone who knew Jake felt they had a true friend in him. We will all honor his memory during our class reunion and will hold you in our thoughts and prayers always.

I just heard the news am so saddened to hear the loss of Jake. He was a great friend back in High School and he will be missed greatly. I have such fun and fond memories of him. Although we lost touch, the memories have lasted a lifetime. My thoughts and prayers you all.

I will always remember Jacob as that cute little blond headed boy with that little mischievous smile and as that big strong serious football player. Tom and Jackie - Very sorry to hear of the loss. My heart really hurts and I have no idea how you would feel in this situation. We all loved Jake and he made us laugh over and over. I am so saddened to hear of Jacob passing. I have such wonderful memories of him to include his mismatching converse, going to baseball games, and my first ever date to our middle school dance. I remember him being so polite. Many prayers are lifted up to your family during this time.

Jake Holt! What incredible memories I have with him learning how to be a young man. We played football together, endlessly. We lifted weights, worked together and played together. It is with deep sadness that I hear of my cousin's passing. I have fond memories of Jake and his brothers as boys, every one of them a distinctly different personality that brought life to our every holiday and many days in between. Life was a long, hard struggle for Jake, and there's comfort in knowing that the struggle is over, and in having talked to him about our eternal destiny in some of his clearer moments in the past.
