Peter Wenzel Obituary

Peter Wenzel PORTEWEN-Peter Wenzel, 59, of Port Ewen, died Sunday, April 29, 2012. He was born May 14, 1952 in Kingston, to the late Richard and Matilda (Sisovsky) Wenzel. He was married to his loving wife, Lynne Acker Wenzel. Peter worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie as a Senior Operator. He was a past member of the Port Ewen Athletic Association and was an avid sports player. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Peter Wenzel of Port Ewen, Brianne Wenzel of Kingston, his siblings; Richard Wenzel of Port Ewen, Robert Wenzel of Port Ewen, William Wenzel of Port Ewen, James Wenzel of Saint Remy, George Wenzel of Port Ewen, Jean Bell of Kingston, and Elizabeth Dunne of Port Ewen, his grandchildren Jonathan Wenzel and Lily Randel, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Lamb. Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466 where friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Presentation Roman Catholic Church in Port Ewen. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Gift Processing Center, P.O.
