Susan Anne Camarata (Borello), 71, of Saugerties, New York passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.Susan, born October 2, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY was the daughter of the late George and Virginia (Fischer) Borello. After moving to New Paltz with her family in 1971, Susan married Andy Camarata Jr. in 1981. They were married for 41 years, having lived in the same home since 1975.Susan studied at Queens College and later received her Master’s degree in Albany, while raising her 2 children. Before retiring, Susan was a school social worker, having dedicated her entire career to helping others. She enjoyed gardening, a sandy beach, a nice view, and spending time with her family, whom she loved deeply. She will be profoundly missed by her loving husband, Andy and their two children, son Andrew Camarata III, daughter Chelsea Camarata, husband Ryan Bent and baby-on-the-way.In addition to her husband, children, and loyal dog Lacy, she is survived by her siblings, Janet (Wayne) Gilbert, Anne (Dan) Malinowski, her sister-in-law Karan Borello, her brothers, Paul (Deborah) Borello and George (Kelly) Borello, and her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and John Borello, her sister Marge Mustello, and her first grandchild, Addison Bent.A memorial will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 1:00-4:00 PM at the family’s home.
