ALICE TROWBRIDGE Obituary

Alice "Ally" Trowbridge of Woodbridge, VA, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family steadfast by her side on December 27th. Ally was born on March 11, 1932, in Schenectady, NY. She was the loving daughter of the late Donald and Pauline (Brant) Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Henderson Blaise, and is survived by her loving sister, Patricia Pacelli, of Scotia, NY. Ally is also survived by her six children, Michael, Paul, Suzanne, Matthew, Thomas, and Leslie, all currently residing in Virginia with their families. She was Nana to 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ally loved gardening, nature, music, dancing, reading, and her family. She was a strong, classy, and amazing woman. She was the believer in our dreams, the keeper of our secrets, and our biggest fan; our Mom, Ally, Nana, Nanny. Though our hearts are broken, we know that you are resting peacefully in His heavenly kingdom. We love you and will miss you and your dancing blue eyes so very much. The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA, on Thursday, December 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, VA. Interment will follow in Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Alice Trowbridge may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA 22030.
