Anna Marie Kelts

1926 - 2021

Anna Marie Kelts, 94, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Kingsway Nursing Home with her family by her side. Born on May 15, 1926 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of Herman and Anna (Knizek) Friday. Marie was married to her husband Warren on July 17, 1949. They were happily married for 61 years until his passing in 2010. Together they ran a roadside flower stand for many years on River Road in Niskayuna after retirement. They enjoyed vacationing at Saranac Lake, Wildwood & Atlantic City casinos, and their cat, Katie. Marie was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Schenectady. She is survived by her devoted daughter Linda Kelts Browarski and her husband Joseph of Niskayuna; her cherished granddaughter Lynne Coffey of Cohoes, as well as great-grandchildren Warren Coffey and Ethan Coffey. Marie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Warren Kelts, a daughter Lisa Kelts and her grandson Kevin Coffey. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon, Thursday, March 4 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 1503 Union Street, Schenectady with the Rev. Patrick Singh, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie. A calling hour will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to either Trinity Lutheran Church or the Schenectady Animal Protection Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingsway for the wonderful care Marie received - especially Rebecca, Missy, Rachel and Sandra (who always gave that extra scoop of ice cream).
