Anthony D. "Tony" Petta

Anthony "Tony" D. Petta, 87, formerly of County Route 75, died July 29, 2017 while residing in Las Vegas, following a short illness. Born in Mechanicville, December 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary Petta and husband of the late Lucia Petta who died this past March. Tony was a proud US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville until recently moving to Las Vegas. Tony's greatest love of his life was his loving wife, Lucia and his children. Family meant the world to Tony. Tony was a draftsman for GE Knolls Atomic Lab for many years. He was an avid New York Yankee fan along with being a Green Bay Packer fan. He was a member of the Assumption-St. Paul Church. He is survived by his children, Anne Perkins of Las Vegas, Robert (Lisa) Petta of Ballston Spa, and Donna (Joseph) Notro of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Danielle McCutcheon, Marissa and Alexandra Petta and a great-granddaughter, Jaidyn McCutcheon. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edith (Bill) Pettigrew and John Petta. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 12 noon at All Saints On The Hudson Church South, 121 North Main St. All family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in loving memory of Anthony D. Petta.
