brian mullaney Obituary

Brian T. Mullaney Hannawa Falls - Brian T. Mullaney passed away at his home in Hannawa Falls November 10th. He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Mullaney, his daughter Colleen VanVleet (Philip), of Colton, NY and son Jack Mullaney of Hannawa Falls. He is also survived by four cherished grandchildren. Brian is survived by his mother Eileen Beard, Alplaus, brother Dennis (Vicki) Mullaney, sisters, Elizabeth Walker, Kathy Mullaney (Rick Fleming), sister-in-law Roxanne Mullaney, as well as many nieces and nephews. Brian was pre-deceased by his father, Dudley Mullaney, and most recently, his brother Neil. Born in Schenectady on December 25, 1950 to Dudley and Eileen Mullaney, Brian attended Niskayuna High School graduating in 1968. Brian served his country in the Coast Guard, the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserves. He was a longtime member of the 109th Airlift Wing in aeromedical tactical evacuation at Stratton Air National Guard Base. He served in numerous conflicts around the world and retired as a Master Sergeant in 2010. When not on active duty, Brian worked as a handyman and was well respected for his craft. Brian was an extremely proficient water skier and in recent years loved taking his motor coach to points south where he could sit on the beach and read. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was known as the 'lawn whisperer' with one of the greenest lawns in the neighborhood. Brian was a member of the Parishville AMVETS Post 265 where memorial contributions can be sent by contacting Nate Wray @ 315-212-2963. Condolences may be shared on-line @ www.buckfuneralhome.com. A celebration of life will be held at Sacandaga Lake in the summer; a special place in Brian's heart.
