David E. Maye

1952 - 2018

David, 65, of Schenectady, NY, departed this earthly life on May 1, 2018 at the Joan Nicole Prince Hospice Home in Scotia, NY.David was born to the late Rendie Lee "Maye" Rouse and James Arthur Neabrean on May 23, 1952 in Kinston, NC. David was the Eldest of Rendie's five children. David was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jasper Rouse who married his mother in 1960.David graduated from Philip Schuyler H.S. in Albany and decided to serve his Country by joining the United States Air Force. David was honored for his honest and faithful service to the USAF upon being honorably discharged.David had many jobs throughout his life lastly working as a certified asbestos worker and skilled remover and became a foreman on many jobs. He was a member of Local Union 201 and 190. David worked in this capacity until 2014 when he took his retirement due to battling Cancer.David leaves to cherish his precious memory; his wife, Chevail; his children, Davone Maye and Ebony Johnson and her daughter (Granddaughter) Melanie of Albany; his siblings, Kenneth (Frances) Maye, Sharon "Neice" DeVeaux, Janice Rouse-Brown all of Schenectady, NY; and a host of other family, in-laws and friends.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 159 Quail St., Albany with a calling hour from 9 until 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
