Jason Byrnes MariavilleJason David Byrnes, 34, died suddenly December 16, 2013, in North Beach, Maryland. Jason was born February 21, 1979, in Amsterdam, NY. A longtime resident of Mariaville, Jason was a graduate of Schalmont High School. He was a former member of the New York State Army National Guard. Recently, he was employed as a diesel mechanic for Liebherr Equipment Source in Maryland. Jason loved spending time with his daughter, Lilly Ann. He was an avid runner who ran in numerous marathons. He loved the ocean and greatly enjoyed flying kites on the beach and fishing. He was always there to help family, friends and strangers, and was well known and liked because of his outgoing personality and contagious smile. Jason is survived by his parents, Mark and Judy Byrnes of Mariaville, NY; a brother, Justin (Harmony) Byrnes of Cohoes; a sister, Joelene (Rich) Hart of Rotterdam; his daughter, Lilly Ann Byrnes and her mother, Tammy McElhaney, both of San Antonio, TX; his girlfriend, Lauren Billodeaux of Farnhan, VA; a nephew, Tommy Hart and niece, Sareena De Silva. Jason is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends are invited to a memorial calling period to be held Sunday, December 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Jason's burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jason's name may be made to Wounded Warriors -North Albany Post 1610, P.O.
