Linda J. DeFiore

Linda J. DeFiore, 68, of Harmon Road, passed away after a long and difficult battle with lung disease, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born on June 6, 1954, in New York City and was the daughter of the late Roland and Marion (Apuzzo) Jean. Linda was raised in Valhalla and was a graduate of Valhalla High School. She earned her secondary education degree at the Berkeley Secretarial school in White Plains, NY.

Linda met the love of her life, John C. DeFiore in 1969 and they married in 1974. Together they raised their wonderful family in various locations within New York State. Linda worked as an administrative assistant for several major corporations and spent 10 years with Burns Personnel, as a contract worker, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also enjoyed traveling, car shows as a member of the Buick Club of America, cross stitching and like style crafts, reading, and collecting elephants. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Catholic parish.

She was the dedicated and loving mother of Justin R. (Stephanie Machnik) DeFiore, Andrew R. DeFiore, and Douglas R. (Cindy Budka) DeFiore; caring grandmother of Andrew G., Anthony R., and Nathan J. DeFiore; dear niece of Andrew Petrazzouli; special cousin of Susan Tisher, Peggy Long, Kenneth Irving, and Patti Petrazzouli. She is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
