M. Elizabeth McMahon

M. Elizabeth Betty McMahon Naples, FLM. Elizabeth Betty McMahon, 68, of Naples passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 8, 1944 in Schenectady, NY, a daughter of the late Edward B. and Mildred (nee Mosher) Hoffman. Betty had been a resident of Naples since 2000 coming from Ft. Myers Beach where she had resided since 1987. She was a member of St. Raphael's Episcopal Church, Ft. Myers Beach and also sang in the choir for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dr. James J. McMahon of Naples, FL and was a godmother to many. A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be held in conjunction with the regular Eucharist Service at St. Raphael's Episcopal Church, 5601 Williams Rd., Ft. Myers Beach, FL on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Don Nicholson, officiating. Additional services will be held at the Jersey Shore at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105, St. Raphael's Episcopal Church, 5601 Williams Rd., Ft. Myers Beach, FL 33931 or the Albert Ellis Institute, 45 East 65th St., New York City, NY 10065. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
