So sorry for your loss. I have great memories of Mrs. Hazard when we were kids playing at the house on the corner of East and Lake and how friendly and kind she always was to all of us “hoodlums”. To my old friend John, my prayers go out for you and the family.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman. Marian was one of my mother's dearest friends. She encouraged my widowed mother to attend social gatherings with all the couples from the 'knitting club'. The door was always opened at the Hazard's home. When I was in college Vic helped me with a project for a Sociology course. I remember the Hazards as a terrific couple who helped other people and a true example of genuine Christians. I'll be thinking of your family and praying for you.

To all my Hazard cousins :
I was very sorry to hear that Aunt Marion passed away and so wish I could be there with you all to share memories of her wonderful life. My earliest memories of her as a young boy allowed to roam around for a while at those fifth avenue parties that mom and dad gave and which Marion and Vic were always there with the Roohans, the Towns, Butlers, Fords, Mattiesons, Quinns and so many other friends and family. Your mom was so beautiful, kind and vivacious, and I remember as if was yesterday how happy her and Uncle Vic and everybody was as if they did not have a care in the world. The Hazard and the Benton families have always been close growing up together in a small town. We are all blessed to have had such wonderful parents and to see the number of grandchildren , great grandchildren and even great- great grandchildren made me happy to know that Marion will live on in all our hearts and memories. Marion was our neighbor on Lake ave and told us stories about playing in our house when she was a young girl. She was welcoming and a wonderful presence. I fondly remember that she offered and gave my son his first soda when were were visiting one day! He is 19 now, but I am sure he remembers this as we didn't allow it in the house. Marion was such an awesome beautiful person, I think of her often. May her memory be a blessing.

Your mother's obituary really captured her personality. She really lived a full life and gave so much caring to everyone who met her. What I remember most is her smile and how she always made me feel welcomed at the home on Lake Avenue.

My mother Marge [Dan] Eddy and Marion were good friends. I remember the many bridge games at 134 Circular St. Marion and Vic were guests at the many cocktail parties at 134 as well. What a wonderful age she lived to be. My sincere sympathies to all the family. .

Dear Joe, Alice, and the Hazard Family - I am so very sorry to hear of Marion's passing. She was such a wonderful Mother, Wife, and woman - she had to be, to put up with all of us!! The memories of Vic and Marion and the whole family at 198 Lake will last forever. I especially enjoyed spending time with her in her twilight years, when my beloved Mom and your Mom were at Home of the Good Shepherd in Wilton together. It comforted my Mom when she first moved there - to know that her friend Marion lived there as well - they kept each other company many times. Your Mom's smile and infectious laugh would light up the room. Every day was a gift. May your wonderful memories of your beautiful Marion bring you some comfort and peace. My love to all of you. So kind, so loving, so non-judge mental, so beautiful in so many ways.
I think of you now holding hands with Uncle Vic. A couple who were perfect for one another. The shared love and devotion was evident.
