Nancy Mancini Obituary

Nancy A. Mancini Nancy A. Mancini passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, one month short of her 94th birthday, with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Born in Schenectady, Nancy was the daughter of the late Frank and Nunziata (Marra) Giordano. After graduation from Mont Pleasant high school, she was employed at General Electric Company before becoming an assistant Dean of Graduate studies at Union College where she spent 24 years until retirement. Nancy lived a full and inspiring life continuing to stay active well into her eighties. A lifelong learner, she was a member of the Saint Gabriels Women's Club, garden clubs, and UCALL hosting several excursions and events. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends at their summer home in Diamond Pt., NY.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Carl Mancini. She was also predeceased by her seven siblings, Minnie, Grace, Ann, Sue, Louis, Mary and Joseph. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sons, James and Thomas, daughter Joyce and son in law Floyd.; her grandchildren Hannah (Travis) and Giordan, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday June 8, 2024 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Rotterdam, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m . Interment will be in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady, NY 12303.
