Nicholas Boscia Obituary

Nicholas Boscia, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday evening January 13th surrounded by family. Born and educated in Rotterdam, he was the son of the late John and Anna Maria (Tucci) Boscia and a graduate of the former Draper High School. A World War II Marine Corps Veteran, Nicholas was the former owner of Boscia's Liquor Discount House for more than 58 years with his wife Mary Ellen. Devoted to his family, Nick enjoyed tennis and coaching his daughters in the sport. He loved trading in the stock market and vacationing with his family in Florida during the winter months. Predeceased by his grandson Paul Steven Ferrara, Nicholas is survived by his wife of almost 71 years Mary Ellen (Nodar) Boscia, his daughters Linda V. Gadus (Steve) of Duanesburg, Donna L. Casso of Guilderland, Lenore L. Ferrara (Paul) of Guilderland and Renee M. Kaufman of Boca Raton, Fl., 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial celebration of Nicholas's life will be held at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady at a time to be announced in the spring. Private interment will be in Viewland Cemetery in the spring with military honors.
