Well Nick, tomorrow you would be 50. And as it nears my heart aches more and more. I will be cooking dinner and hosting the family at my place. Oh how bad I wish I would be cooking for you. Instead of celebrating with you we will celebrate in memory of you. I miss you so much. Two weeks from now I will turn 27, and it will be the first time since I was a 3 year old little girl that I dont hear you wishing me a happy birthday. You would always tease me about turning another year older. I always knew death is hard to deal with but losing you is way harder than I could have ever imagined! I love you so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I LOVE YOU AND I MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS COULD EVER EXPLAIN! I will cherish every thing you've taught me and every memory I have with you as long as I live! I can't promise you that I will make my little man as crazy as you raised me to be but I'll see what I can do. Ha.ha. I love you dad!

Nick,
I want you to know that im so thankful now more than ever for everything u have dont for me. From accepting my son and i into your home as a part of your family to working on my car for me. I will never forget the nights we went fishing on the river together or just hanging at the house playing darts or dice. Your stories about my step father and u always made me laugh. I know you had some hard times in your life, but you always held your ground. You knew what you wanted in life and i know you tried hard to keep yourself on track. Nick i want you to know you will always be remembered by me and will also always have a special place in my heart!

I know your father is looking down on you right now being thankful for everything you did for him. No matter what it was he needed you made sure to be there for him. My deepest sympathy goes out to all. Nick was one of a kind, he was so kind and caring, always there when you needed him the most. I havent seen him in forever but I never forgot about him and never will he open his home to me when I had no where to go,Thank you Nick. He will be missed by all. May you rest in peace, Nick.

Dear Angelina,
So sorry for your loss. We know how much you loved your dad. It was obvious how much he loved you - always bringing you presents when you were sick; taking you to car shows; taking you in his boat fishing on the hudson river; coaching your softball team; going to your plays and even participating in the date with dad number you did in your first recital and so much more. Hang on to all those great memories.

What I would give for u to be able to run that greasy pointer finger of yours across my top lip, just like u always would. Then that chuckle of yours would follow. Even though I never thought it was funny at the time I will miss that wit of yours. You ARE a great man. You took my sisters and I on as your children even though we weren't legally or on paper. You have been my father for the last 24 years. I hope you know how much I really appreciate every thing you have done for all of us. From the bottom of my heart I want you to know that no one could ever be half the man you have been. Thank you for loving me. Wow, I am gonna miss you. It seems unreal that your gone. Everytime I saw Nick there was always a laugh and smile because of something that he would say. His personality was unmatched by anyone ive ever came in contact with. Lots of memories will be cherished forever with him. To all of his family, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with all of you during these tough times.

Nick,
You left us so suddenly, with no chance to say goodbye or how much we loved you. You were an amazing man who came into our lives just when we needed it most. Although we were not your own, no one would ever know it. You took on that fatherly role and did a damn good job at it. We were and still are always referred to as "your girls". There are so many things that I would have said if I had only known. So If I was given that chance I would have said I love you and that Know one could ever take your place. I would have thanked you not just for me, but for all my sisters and nephews. You always made life exciting. I guess we really didn't have much yet we had it all. Your gone, and still teaching us life lessons. One being don't hold back you never know if you'll get that tomorrow. You always lived on the edge and loved with a full a heart. Thank you for believing in us and instilling in all of us family is family. I try to convince myself your in a better place. On my way home yesterday after an emotional of day with tears and laughter, we were all going through pictures I looked up to the sky and asked why, through tear filled eyes and rain on the windshield, I seen the most vibrant rainbow with so colors. I feel in my heart that it was a sign from you letting me know you are ok, finally free. As the oldest, I promise you I will be there for my sisters and step brothers. I will keep in touch with Denise as you would want us to. I love you Nick and someday we will all make the chain we had here, for now one link is missing and will be missed everyday.

I havent seen Nick since he lived up here in Lewis county. He was a lot of fun at times and a good guy to laugh with. Sorry I cant be there with you but know that my heart goes out to you.

I never got the chance to see you before you left or to say goodbye. I won't ever have the chance to say I love you one more time or tell you how thankful I am that you were in my life. Although I wasn't your own, no one would ever know. You opened your heart to my sisters and I and stepped right into that fatherly role. To all of Nicks family please accept my deepest sympathies. Nick was really a very loyal friend and I could always count on him. When god made Nick he made someone special thats how I know he is in a very special place that not all get to go too. I am so very lucky to have met such a wonderful friend. He will truely be missed. I dont really know what to say, I havent seen my uncle Nick in awhile. I lived with him and Aunt Nancy as a teenager. We had alot of good times.I m devastated by his passing. I can f ind some comfort in knowing that he will be with my grandmother and grandfather again.
