Peter R. Beals Sr.

Peter R. Beals Sr. Schenectady Peter R. Beals Sr., 70, died Sunday night, December 21st at his home in Schenectady. Born in Niskayuna, Peter attended Ballston Spa High School and was the son of the late Clarence and Eva (Schottenham) Beals. A former journeyman pipefitter for the General Electric Company, Peter retired from New York State where he worked for over 10 years. A graduate of the GE Apprentice Course, he was an avid racing fan, former stock car driver and loved music. Survived by his children, Hilary Anderson (Richard) of Schenectady, Heather Dion (Chad) of Auburn, ME, Keri Beals of Guilderland, Peter Beals II (Kristie) of Mechanicville, Patrick Beals (Susan Rivers) of Ravena and Jasper Beals of Guilderland; his brothers, Charles Beals (Alice) of Clifton Park, David Beals (Carol) of Ballston Spa, Paul Beals (Audrey) of Aurora, CO and William Beals (Leonelda); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, December 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment in Ballston Spa Village cemetery.
