Rosario Alcid Obituary

Rosario "Rose" Villaluz Alcid, 56, at rest Friday, September 4, 2009. Born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines, Rosario attended the University of Santo Tomas. She married her husband, Michel, in 1977 and in 1979 moved to the Troy area with him. They later moved to Rotterdam. A homemaker, Rosario enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and also enjoyed gardening, and arts and crafts. She was the beloved wife of 32 years to Michel "Mike" Alcid; beloved mother of Rowena and Ian Alcid; beloved daughter of Paulita Villaluz of Quezon City, Philippines and the late Irineo Villaluz; beloved sister of the late Marissa Lim and Jaime Villaluz; beloved sister-in-law of Francisco Lim, Casmer Villaluz, Gina Adamo, Benjamin (Lisa) Alcid, Jocelyn (James) Dixon and Pamela Alcid; beloved aunt of Christopher, Lawrence and Maria Theresa Lim, Jeremy, Janelle Villaluz, Angela Pellegrino, Tyler, Nicholas, Sean, Elizabeth Alcid, Matthew and Jasmine Dixon. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in Rosario's name may be made to Rubin Dialysis Center, 21 Crossing Blvd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
