My dad, Earl Avery so enjoyed the time he spent golfing and chatting with Steve and the guys at the mall. I'll remember his fondly. God bless.

I am so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was a great friend. I was the kid in the group that went to the mall and golfing. May God Bless him.

What an incredible and full life! Even when his mobility had diminished, he still loved the outdoors and the summer breeze...he spent nearly four hours outside just last Wednesday. I was amazed at the gratitude he showed all his visitors despite the discomfort he felt his last few days.

Uncle Steve was truly an inspiration as he lived his life positively, with warmth and gratitude to those around him. You will be missed, but I am glad you can hang out with your siblings again and be free from pain and distress. ♡ you!
