What is hard for many to understand is that Andrew Joseph Applegate is not gone. He is with us now more than he ever was. In every heart and every soul, watching and guiding even those whom he has never met. Andrew can hear our thoughts and our prayers, and I know he will be truly and forevermore touched when he watches his funeral from above. His funeral is a ceremony honoring the end of his time on earth, a ceremony offering peace for the people Andrew left behind. One day Andrew will be reunited with loved ones, it's only a matter of time. He would want to watch his loved ones not grieving over his loss, but living their lives in excitement and thrill with him still on their minds. When Andrew was born, he cried and the world rejoiced. Now that Andrew is gone, the world cries as he rejoices. My prayers go out to the pieces of the world Andrew left behind, may you live the rest of your lives not filled with grief over the loss of such a beautiful soul, but with the love-filled anticipation of seeing him again.
