* I was double-blessed in the Fall of 1996. I started my public school teaching career at Carpentersville Middle School...where I met Ben's wonderful wife "Zannie". She told me that she, me, and a few others were "more than special"...she was teaching Health and I was teaching a Computer Exploratory class - on really "old" computers. She said that we were so "special" because we received very little in the way of materials yet we came up with what blew away the administration. Shortly after receiving Suzanne's welcome, she introduced me to Ben. My first thoughts were: 1-What a great couple! 2-These two are consummate educators. and 3-Thank you Lord, for bringing them into my life. I stayed at CMS for 13 years. We were devastated when Zannie was taken from us. We marvelled at Ben's strength through it all. *** To the children and family...my deepest sympathy goes out to you. Though I had a short time with them, I learned so much from them. They taught me values of a good teacher as they were/continue to be GREAT teachers. They also showed/taught me the importance of committed communication in a marriage. I have been married for only 14.5 years; but their model stays with me. It's beyond comprehension that Zannie has been gone for almost 20 years...the memories are STILL here. The love that Zannie and Ben had/have will forever serve as a "guidebook" for others to only imitate. The Lord has now called Ban to be reunited with Zannie...may they continue right where they never really left off...together again. May the Lord re-join them...we are confident that it is already a "done deal". May the Lord that re-joins Ben with Zannie continue to hold you together as family - Remembering ALL of the Really Great Times you had together...May God Grant Ben rest-filled Peace...now that he IS re-united with Zannie. Peace To All!!!
Will miss you brother
