LAKE ZURICH - Brian Frederick Scheu, 36, was born May 6, 1980 in San Jose, CA, and he passed away February 8, 2017 in McHenry. Brian graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Parkside with a Bachelor degree in Management of Information Systems. In his spare time, he was an avid hiker, backpacker and he loved to raft. He greatly enjoyed the out of doors. Brian was a gentle soul, always ready to help those in need. Dear son of Phyllis (John) Vinson; Friedrich (Amy) Scheu; fond brother of Erika (Andrew) Wagner and Rebecca (Sean) Lynch. Cherished ex-husband to Ewa Scheu. Friend to anyone in need and lover of dogs. Visitation for Brian, will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. The visitation will continue Wednesday, February 15th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. The Reverend Timothy Kinne will officiate.
