HOFFMAN ESTATES - Debora Reid (Hajduk), 64, passed away on September 8, 2021, with her husband at her side. She fought a courageous battle with Type 1 diabetes and kidney disease. Debbie was a graduate of Shabbona High School Class of 1975. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1979, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She devoted her career to Microbiology Research. Debbie was published in two books, " The World Who's Who of Women" and "Two Thousand Noble American Women." She is survived by her husband, Michael E. Hajduk; her brother, Gene Reid (Dawn); sisters, Carol Reid, Joann (Mike) Reid-Todd; nephew, Brandon Reid (Carla); beloved sister-in-law of Marge (Tom) Jacher; brothers-in-law, Jim (Carol) Hajduk, Ed (Peggy) Hajduk, Rich Hajduk; and seven nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Irene (Wanda) Reid. There will be a private interment at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
