FRANK LITTLE Obituary

Frank E. (Francis Edward) Little died peacefully in his East Dundee Home on February 6th, 2022, after an extended illness. Frank was born on June 27th, 1940, in Elgin, IL. The son of Harry and Mary (Meagher) Little. At a young age he moved to the Gilberts area where he was raised. After attending Hampshire High School, Frank joined his father operating Little's Oil Company in Gilberts, where he worked for several years delivering heating oil to the surrounding area. During this time, he became a member of the National Guard. He then started to be active in construction, eventually starting Tyler Creek Builders. Over the years, he did considerable construction projects in the Gilberts and Dundee areas. He also spent time at the farm in WI, frequented the Auction Barn, opened up the L Station Restaurant, and participated in flea markets. In retirement, he continued his handy work ways in remodeling homes and building bird houses. For enjoyment, Frank valued his daily early morning coffee, meeting up with friends at the Manor and local cafes. He loved to golf and watch the "lovable" Bears, and in younger days, he was a bowler, a skier, and a snowmobiler. Frank is survived by his son, Erick, Erick's wife, Kathy (Lebbin) and their 3 boys, Kolin, Gavan and Chase from Schaumburg; his stepdaughter, Melissa (Bonine) Ernst and her daughter, Mackenzie and his stepson, Howard Russell Bonine and his wife, Carri (Nikula) all from East Dundee; his sister, Kathy (Little) Tonelli from Huntley; his former wife, Mary Lou (Peterson) Little; several nieces, nephews and good friends. Frank was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Gloria Bonine; his parents, Harry and Mary Little; his sisters, Patricia and Mary Lou Northcutt; and his brothers, Larry and Jack. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Visiting Angels, Arlene and Rose, for their loving and attentive care. You were the best, thank you. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Wounded Warriors, both favorites of Frank's. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18th, from 4- 8pm at Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St., West Dundee, IL 60118. Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 19th, at 1:30pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 Matteson St., Gilberts, IL 60136. For information, call 847-836-8770 or www.lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com.

I first met Frank in 1973, doing electrical work at his building in Gilberts. Then it was just a couple years ago, we hooked up at the "Mermaid Bar", in Fort Myers Beach, FL, for a few beers, and reminiscing.
Frank was a very nice man, and I would like to express my condolences.
