Frank Silka

Frank Silka Frank Silka, 77, of Streamwood and Hoffman Estates, most recently of Marengo, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at his home. Services will be private for the family. Frank was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Chicago, the son of Frank J. and Victoria Silka. He was a member of Mensa and also the Carpenters Union Local 558 of Wheaton. He is survived by his children, Steven Silka of Huntley and Susannah (Robert) Kreher of Fox River Grove; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Kreher. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Silka; brothers, Robert Kottarski and Joseph Silka; and a sister, Lori Kottarski. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Illinois Railroad Museum, P.O. Box 427, Union, IL 60180.
