GREGORY "GREG" STRANDELL

Gregory "Greg" Strandell, 71, passed away on December 7th, in Glenview, IL at Glenbrook Hospital. A memorial service will be held, Friday, January 20th, 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1004 Greenwood St., Evanston, IL. Greg was born on February 12th, 1951, in Evanston to Alex and Marjory Strandell. He grew up in Evanston, IL with siblings, Katherine and Michael. He graduated from Evanston High school, and became a professional waiter, working in the north shore area throughout his career at various restaurants including, Labo M, Ravinia Bistro, and Wildfire. Greg was a Roman Catholic and enjoyed traveling. He was passionate about scuba diving. He dove in various exotic locations, including Belize and Cancun. He was always optimistic and had a great sense of humor. He was an excellent conversationist, easy-going, and lit up the room with his smile and laughter. He is survived by his niece and nephew, Holly Troglio and Joey Jenkins.
