JUDITH JOHNSON Obituary

Judith Dawn Johnson (former resident of Des Plaines and Shabbona, Illinois) passed away peacefully at 79 years old on August 8, 2022, at The Grove of Northbrook following a battle with cancer. Judy was born on May 24, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, the only daughter of Alex and Audrey (Dixon) Owens. Judy graduated from Taft High School in 1962, where she made lifelong friendships. Judy married Allen C. Johnson in Chicago, Illinois on June 1, 1965. Together they had four children, Dawn (Dean) Carlson, Michael (Elizabeth) Golen-Johnson, Robert (Naomi) Johnson and Sharon (Dale) Malone. Judy was an avid reader of romance and mystery novels who loved to knit and listen to classic country music. Judy enjoyed bible study and spending time with her friends and family. Judy is survived by her children; eight grandchildren (Samantha [David] Fletcher, Andrew Carlson, Amanda Carlson, Zachary [Lexi] Johnson, Emily Johnson, Emily Crowder, Justin Sidney Malone, and Anna Malone); brother, Jerry (Pam) Owens of Florence, South Carolina; two nephews; and dear, lifelong friend, Linda Maly. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; one brother (James Owens); and one child at birth. No funeral services were held. Cremation rites were accorded and Judy was buried next to her parents in Florence, South Carolina.

RIP Judy. Life dealt you a bad hand in so many ways, but you managed good spirits and smiles all the way.
I hadn´t seen you in years and didn´t even know you passed.
You´re finally at peace while your mansion is being prepared.
