Margie Jane Wade also Margie J. Govern On May 14TH, 2013, Margie Jane Wade, 84, of Aurora, loving wife of E. Nicholas Wade & loving mother of Charles L., Jane Ann, and John Mark Govern, and one whose every act was an act of love instinctively putting the needs of others before her own, was released from life support and the cares of this world to receive the blessings of the Lord awaiting her in heaven for quietly living out her Christian faith in diligent service to the needs of others. The Holy Spirit lighted Margie's soul and she reflected that Light to all who knew her. Margie, born May 9TH, 1929, received her RN Certificate with the last class of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Chillicothe, Ohio, after completing the final two years of course and clinical work at the St. Mary's School of Nursing and the Mayo Clinic Hospitals in Rochester, MN. She joined the U.S. Air Force at Travis AFB, retiring as captain, and then marriage & three children were followed by postings & travel across Europe & the world including French Morocco, Hawaii, Iceland, Idaho, and Scott AFB in Illinois. She followed her then- husband to Batavia, IL, where he was involved in the building of the Fermi Lab, and Margie entered real estate, achieving great success in Baird & Warner's Geneva office. Investments in home building and title insurance followed, but when exorbitant interest rates destroyed the economy in '79-'80 she returned to nursing, greatly enjoying many friendships during fifteen years in intermediate and critical care at Mercy Center in Aurora before reluctantly retiring for health reasons in 1995. Through-out all the years since meeting in 1974, Margie and Nick were first business acquaintances, then business partners, then fast friends tested by the most difficult of times; since 1985 they were the closest of companions and finally husband & wife, always together, now and soon forever. Burial will be in the Wade family plot in Sylvania, Ohio, near Toledo. Margie was preceded in death by her entire immediate family: by her mother, Lala O. (nee' Grant) Fink, and her father, Thomas E. Fink, of Piketon, Ohio, and by her brothers Paul, Charles, Carl, and Frederick, and by her sisters, Annetta & Ann. Margie is survived by her husband E. Nicholas Wade of Aurora, IL; one daughter Jane Ann and two sons & daughters-in-law, Charles L. Govern III and Margaret (nee' Lynch) Govern of Burr Ridge, IL, & John Mark and Lois A. (nee' Grist) Govern and their two daughters, Lauren Ashley & Caitlin Sierra of Cabot, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 13TH, 2013, at the Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (IL Rt. 31) & Main St., Batavia, IL, followed immediately thereafter by the Memorial Celebration of this Wonderful Lady's life at 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM.
