Mary Ellen McFarlin Mary Ellen McFarlin (nee Heffernan), Age 89, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Waterford Senior Living, Waterford, WI. She was born August 9, 1923 to Bart and Mary (nee Laughry) Heffernan in Chicago, IL. Her early life was spent in Chicago, where she attended St. Timothy Parish and graduated from Immaculata High School. She resided in Prospect Heights, IL for many years and then moved to the Milwaukee area for the past 30 years. She was previously a member of St. Fredrick / Nativity of the Lord Parish in Cudahy and was a current member of St. Clare parish, Wind Lake, WI. Mary Ellen had a way of making everyone feel special. She is survived by her children: Tom (Ellen) McFarlin, Elk Grove, IL. Margo (Jerry) Roslawski, Wind Lake, WI. George (Christina) McFarlin, Lisle, IL. Francis (Charleen) McFarlin, Zion, IL. Ann (Wayne) Schroeder, Elgin, IL. Chuck McFarlin, Round Lake Beach, IL. and Jerry (Julie) McFarlin, Cary, IL. 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. She is further survived by her brother Daniel (Betty) Heffernan and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials for Mary Ellen have been suggested, to be made to the Children's Tumor Foundation, 95 Pine St. 16th Floor, New York, NY 10005-4002. Visitation will take place on July 7, 2013 from 3:00- 8:00pm at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home, 908 - 11th Ave., Union Grove, WI.
