Just received a Christmas card from Barb and the boys and immediately had an uneasy feeling. I had no idea my locker buddy from high school passed away. I'm' stunned and saddened at the same time. So many fond memories of Matttoo many to mention. I haven't spoken to him since the summer of 2014 but always considered him a good friend. My deepest condolences to his family. He was such a special man with the kindest heart! Love you buddy!

Having met Matt in High School, worked with him at his first job at the record store, and lived with him for two years in college (ISU). I can say I had never had a fried who had so much influence on my life. Regularly through my daily life I can think back to conversations, disagreements, adventures we had over the years. I'm sorry I did not keep in more contact with him over the years. My wife and I still talk about the "behind the scenes" tour of the capitol building he gave us on our trip to DC. I was so looking forward to talking to him about how life had changed since becoming a father. My heart go out to Barb and the kids, Bob, Jackie, and the rest of the family. He will be missed.

Matt was truly the nicest person I've ever worked withso kind, patient and pleasant. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. But I'm happy to say I'll only have the fondest memories of him. We worked on a lot of Hill scheduling/meetings which can be a challenge, but he made it pleasant. When he would call, I would ask him how he's doing and he would answer with How are YOU doing? God Bless Matt and his family. I know he will rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Matt's passing. Being so young & having a wonderful young family to live for, Bobby, Jackie, Alex, Tommy, and wife Barb, I am feeling your sorrow that Matthew was unable to conquer the pancreatic cancer. Having been through that with Ken just 3 years ago, I am well aware of the difficulty of that task. I am remembering so long ago when Matthew and Joice were just babies, climbing around in my family's big bassinet at Gma. Ruby's. Please accept my deepest condolences and a very large hug to you all. With Love, Nona
