MAX PERENCHIO Obituary

Max Perenchio, 33, of Los Angeles, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, from injuries sustained as a passenger in a vehicular accident. He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Christine, his brother and best friend Cody, Cody's fiancee Silvia Paier, his grandmother Arlene Perenchio, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins from both the Perenchio and Iftner families. After attending Hersey High School and Illinois State University, Max used his passion and inherent talents to create a thriving career in music. He was an amazing musician, teacher, and composer, leading many bands ToastFace, Real Lunch, Powerspace, Bad City, The Gold Web, Uncle Salsa and the Pelican Boy, and more... He toured with the Smashing Pumpkins, KISS, Slash, and others. As a music producer, he created music in every genre for artists in L.A. and Chicago. His wisdom, mastery of instrumentation, orchestration, and music composition were stunning. There wasn't an instrument he couldn't play or after a few times, felt he couldn't master. Max always brought professionalism and showmanship to every show whether it was a show of 3 people or to a sold-out arena. Those who were blessed to know Max knew he made the world a brighter place with the boundless energy and creativity that he brought to every aspect of his life. He had the indefinable quality of being able to inspire the people around him, to become more than they ever thought they could be, without even seeming as if he was trying. With a laugh so contagious and a smile that never quit, he changed many lives forever. Max was loved by many throughout his lifetime, and his loss is deeply felt by his family that he honored and cherished, by Jamie Redmond and the Redmond family, and by his friends, bandmates, and dog, Lola. His legacy of love and joy through music, as well as his deep connections to family and friends, will endure forever. In God we trust. Max was simply a joy. His music was magic and he represented what was good in the universe. I had the pleasure of working with him in Los Angeles and his passing is still beyond belief. I know he’s in a better place but he had so much more to do here. Rest In Peace my Brother,
John Schneider
