NANCY F. STRAUTS

Nancy F. Strauts (nee Friebus), age 75, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Nancy was born in Chicago, IL, on October 11, 1947. She worked for many years as an Executive Administrative Assistant, where her efficiency and attention to detail was highly valued. Prior to that she managed an entire department for a retail chain. Initially Nancy was an Executive Legal Assistant at a prominent law firm in downtown Chicago. She loved her family and her dogs and was a woman who was never afraid to speak her mind. Nancy was a fighter and overcame a lot of adversity in her life. She inspired those around her for what she overcame. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Justin (Carrie) Strauts and Jeffery Strauts; cherished grandchildren, Jaxon, Jake, Reese, and Katrina Strauts; siblings, Gary (Jean) Friebus and Dean (Lisa) Friebus; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, William Strauts; and parents, Norman and Ruth Friebus. A memorial visitation for Nancy will be held at 11:45am until 12:45pm on Friday, April 7, 2023, followed by a private memorial service at 1:00pm for immediate family and close friends only at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
