1990 - 2018

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Patrick Theron Bushnell was born on December 20, 1990 in DeKalb, Illinois to Timothy and Mary Pat (nee McMonigal) Bushnell. He died Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Patrick was a young man who lived his life on his own terms. He loved his family and his many friends, having the opportunity to successfully participate on Lego Robotic and baseball teams throughout middle school. He was a Boy Scout, achieving Life Rank. It was during his years of Scouts that he developed his love of camping and the outdoors. Patrick enjoyed all types of music, was hardly without his earbuds in place listening to anything from Elton John to hard metal with classical in between. As an accomplished trumpet player he was able to participate in the successful Hersey Marching, Symphonic and Jazz bands over his high school career. The Hersey Band performance trip to France, following his senior year, was the culmination of his band participation. His love of reading led to a lifelong love of the English language and was always interested, and if necessary, critical, of grammar and syntax of the written word. He loved spending time with friends in conversation about just about any topic preferably over an excellent glass of beer. He was loved by his aunts and uncles, and cousins both young and old. He was beloved by his youngest cousins as he was a big kid at heart. His family loved him dearly and we will miss him for the rest of our lives. Patrick is survived by his parents and his brother, Michael J. Bushnell. Visitation from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment private.
