There are very few men that can stand in a circle of County Policemen, and call themselves a County Policeman. Lt. Olson was one of them. Godspeed boss!

So long to a great guy who represented the Cook County Sheriff's Police in an honorable fashion for many years. Ray was well respected and will be missed by those of us in law enforcement who were fortunate enough to have him as a friend. With sorrow for the family and deep respect for a brother.

I didn't know Ray very well but talked with him on a number of occasions at Don Papan's house. He meant a great deal to Don & Joan. Papan's are my neighbors. I recall Ray being pretty witty and friendly. For some reason I think I met Ray many years ago at the Elks Club in Des Plaines. My condolences to his family and friends.

"Ole" was a dear family friend and will be missed. He was always a jokester and used to come up with the corniest jokes imaginable. He was always full of life, had a warm heart and had an engaging personality.
