ROBERT LANGLEY Obituary

MOUNT PROSPECT - Robert Thomas Langley, 73, passed away in his sleep at home on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, after a long battle fighting cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth and father, Paul. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 46 years, Dianne Rutkowski Langley. Loving and devoted father to daughters, Jennifer and Christine (Robert Klein), he attended and enjoyed their musical and gaming endeavors. Brother to Michael (Sharon) and Joanne Grohens (Dan), and brother-in-law to Dan Rutkowski (Irene), Tom Rutkowski (Karen) and Laurie LaMarca (Vince), he enjoyed our large extended family and gatherings. Fun loving uncle to David, Michael, Zach, Jeff, Tracy, Megan and David, he was also a proud Great-uncle (Gruncle) to 12. A graduate of St. Genevieve School and Holy Cross HS, he also attended St. Joseph's College. Robert then joined the Army 82nd Airborne. He was married in 1975 to his 6th grade grammar school sweetheart. A Fishmonger by trade, he worked for Burhops Seafood, and owned Brook Run Seafood before retirement. An avid video gamer, he enjoyed reading and all things Sci-Fi. Sometimes a silent observer, his quirky sense of humor and ability to listen, teach and reach out to all ages brought him love and respect. Many shared stories of how much he especially affected young family and friends he lived and worked with. Per his wishes, he was cremated, and there will be no funeral. Please remember him in your thoughts and prayers, and most importantly in your memories.
